Baffled Corrie fans flock to Twitter after noticing same thing about the Underworld factory

Coronation Street fans have taken to Twitter to air their confusion after noticing the same thing about Underworld. The iconic knicker factory, which was built in 1990 bought by Mike Baldwin back in 1997, was on its knees just a few years ago when it was forced to close after being ransacked.

Then in 2019 the roof collapsed, killing bride-to-be Rana Habeeb who was trapped inside, after owner Carla Barlow was warned that the structure was in dire need of repair. And later that year it was set on fire by arsonist Hope Stape.

As well as being a death trap, Underworld is a big source of employment for the residents of Coronation Street. And soap viewers are baffled that the previously struggling Underworld currently appears to be flourishing with an 'endless moneypot' and jobs aplenty.

Roz Laws pointed out: "I refer everyone to my question of 2 days ago. How can Underworld have gone from a company on the verge of bankruptcy to one employing most of the street?" Roz asked: "How come Underworld is doing so well? Surely their prices are more expensive than imports? A few years ago, wasn’t it reduced to doing nothing more than packing? I think I must have missed this amazing turnaround."

@Clawmaw also wondered: "Does Underworld have endless jobs or something? Anything can get a job there doing anything at anytime and always get promoted. Have they got an endless moneypot?!" And @Samanth22356123 asked: "Since when did Underworld have a sales team??!! #Corrie"

@ElaineWharton1 pointed out that counsellor Toyah Battersby now works there. "What exactly does Toyah the counsellor do at Underworld?" they asked. "Is the workforce so messed up that they need a resident counsellor?"

@laaaan12 puzzled: "So when did Underworld turn in to Amazon?" And @cb_038 tweeted: "Does everyone on Corrie work in Underworld apart from Aggie?"

Last week new recruit Jacob Hay was promoted to the sales team after snaring a huge order from a client. @TheMandyHayes asked: "Since when does Underworld have a sales team, it's a small back street works with half dozen machinists and one person in packing."

@HildaOgdenOnSea tweeted: "Extra extras in the Underworld sales department." And @bredrew2 observed: "Underworld now just having someone to be a receptionist."
