An Ayrshire pool has been closed suddenly due to a maintenance issue.
It was announced last night that the Galleon Centre swimming pool in Kilmarnock would be closed for all of today.
However, leisure bosses are hopeful that the pool will reopen tomorrow morning.
The closure means that all swimming lessons and club bookings have been cancelled.
The Galleon centre posted: "Due to a maintenance issue the Swimming Pool will close tonight (Monday) at 8pm and continue into Tuesday, September 6.
"This should be a 24 hour closure and we are hopeful that the pool will be open as normal at 6.30am on Wednesday, September 7.
"We will post an update on Tuesday evening.
"We can only apologise for the inconvenience this causes."
The statement continued: "...this unfortunately means that all swimming lessons and club bookings tomorrow (Tuesday) are cancelled.
"We are currently working hard to make everyone aware of this, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
