Ayrshire boxing show proves a knockout in front of sell-out crowd

A Kilmarnock sports promoter hit a knockout with a popular fight night.

Evolution Promotions hosted the sixth of their contender series boxing nights at Ayr Racecourse, with seven action packed bouts and two exhibition fights.

The sell-out night saw an action-packed card, featuring fighters from Ayrshire, including Kilmarnock.

Evolution Fitness and Leisure manager, David Frew, took on Evolution personal trainer, David Lennon in an all out war.

This saw David Frew win by a spectacular first round TKO, in which his opponent was knocked clear of the ring twice.

The main event saw a grudge match between familiar foes, Allister Kennedy and David Wilson, who met for the third time.

Neither of the pair secured bragging rights, with the bout ending in a draw, sparking widespread speculation of a rematch.

Other matches saw a first round TKO from Callum McDougall, and a fierce battle in an all female match between Sam Edgar and Ahakera Wilson.
