There’s a lot to dissect in the new Avengers: Endgame trailer. Lives are at stake. There could be time travel. But all everyone seems to be talking about is Black Widow’s hair. The character goes through multiple hairstyle changes in the new trailer, leading fans to believe that Endgame tells a story through many years.
The previous trailers show Black Widow in her blonde, Infinity War hair -- which isn’t her natural colour. When she was introduced in Iron Man 2, she had red locks. The Endgame trailer shows her with blonde hair, but when the Avengers head off into their mission, wearing their new tactical suits, we see that Black Widow has reverted to her natural colour.
Many fans have taken this to be a sign that several years will pass in Endgame, enough to allow Black Widow to regrow her natural hair fully. Check out some tweets:

Black Widow seems to go through at least three different hairdos in the trailer. In one shot, we can see hints of blond at the end of her long hair, which backs up the theory that a long time will pass until the Avengers are ready to head into the mission. Fans also pointed out how Hawkeye, too, has an entirely new hairstyle in his brand new alter-ego, Ronin.
Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans,Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and others. The film is slated for an April 26 release.
