Major supermarkets across the UK have recalled a number of food products due to safety fears. Asda, Lidl and Sainsbury’s have recalled items which could cause health risks if they are consumed.
Customers have been warned by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) not to eat them but return them to the store as soon as possible. They urge that some items may contain small pieces of plastic, Salmonella or allergy ingredients including milk and gluten which are not listed on the label, reports Lancashire Live.
A number of products that have been taken off shelves are chocolate, cheese popcorn, fudge and ready meals. Shoppers have been asked to check recent purchases to make sure they have not bought any of the affected products.
