An Post accepting donations for Ukraine at post offices and offering support to Irish Red Cross

An Post are accepting donations for Ukraine at any Irish post office.

Along with the Communications Workers Union, they have put a truck and drivers at the disposal of the Irish Red Cross if they need transport for goods to Ukraine or a neighbouring country.

And they are encouraging cash donations which can be used to buy specific emergency medical, food and personal supplies.

An Post is also making arrangements to provide any displaced Ukrainian citizens who come to Ireland with an An Post Current Account to allow them to use everyday banking.

They are providing access to its Address Point service too which provides a secure, personal address to people who are homeless or living in temporary accommodation.

The people of Ireland will be able to give money to the Red Cross or UNICEF in the post office from Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings.

An Post has also waived the fees normally payable for such transactions so the entirety of donations will go to the two charities.
