An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical will return to Liverpool next year.
Based on the 1982 Oscar-winning film, the musical tells the story of Zack Mayo who is in training to become a US Navy Pilot. The production tells a story of love, courage and redemption, as Zack meets Paula Pokrifki, whose fiery spirit matches his own.
Audiences will follow Zack on his journey to becoming both an officer and a gentleman. The show will play at Liverpool Empire from July 22 - 27 July next year and will feature a soundtrack from stars including Madonna, Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper, Blondie, and more.

The show will have musical supervision and orchestration by George Dyer, set & costume design by Michael Taylor and lighting design by Ben Cracknell. Sound design will be led by Tom Marshall, wig, hair and make-up design by Sam Cox and casting by Debbie O’Brien.

We are excited to share some iconic 80s songs and this moving story with audiences across the UK.”
