Amy Hart pregnant with boyfriend Sam Rason after whirlwind romance and fertility hell

Amy Hart has revealed she is pregnant after a whirlwind romance with her boyfriend Sam Rason.

The former Love Island star, 30, went public with her romance with Sam Rason last year and hasn’t been shy with her hints that she’s been keen to tie the knot.

But today on Loose Women, the reality telly favourite told how she and her new beau had taken their relationship to a whole new level and were now expecting a baby together.

She teased fans ahead of her bombshell announcement on today’s episode, taking to her Instagram Story to tell fans not to miss out on their daytime telly appearance.

And Amy did not disappoint as she beamed while revealing she and Sam are expecting a little bundle of joy.

Amy revealed she is between 13 and 14 weeks pregnant and expecting in March. She also told how, despite freezing her eggs and planning to start IVF, conceived naturally with Sam.

Asked whether she will still use her frozen eggs, she said: “No. I might need them in the future. It was never about not being able to get pregnant, it was more about the longevity of my egg reserve… If I don’t need them, then I’ll donate them.”

"It was just such a shock, it was so unplanned, it just happened - disbelief really," her boyfriend Sam reacted as he was brought out to join the panel.

Amy and Sam told the panel they are not finding out the little one's sex as she wants to keep one surprise for herself.

"I do surprises for everyone else but I ruin every one for me, so no we’re not finding out," she laughed.

Loose Women has followed Amy’s fertility journey every step of the way since 2019 and she explained to the panel: “It was very unexpected, we weren’t going to start trying until next year… I had my 30th completely sober - Amesfest. Stacey’s sister made me a cup so no one could see what I was drinking and everyone kept coming up to me and saying, ‘You don’t seem very drunk?’

“And I said to my best friend, ‘People are beginning to ask’ and she said, ‘Well, you’re going to have to do something then!’ So the Abba tribute band was playing Lay All Your Love On Me and I started crawling across the dancefloor, and nobody asked again!”

The former Islander told how she's planning a home birth and a "sip and see" party after the baby is born instead of a baby shower.

"I don’t love a baby shower because if you’ve got a friend who’s trying for a baby, it makes them uncomfortable so they’ll have a sip and see party" – a gathering to welcome and celebrate a new baby.

The baby announcement is extra special for Amy as she has been very open about her fertility issues in the past.

At the age of 28, she decided to freeze her eggs after a fertility MOT showed that her reserves were low for her age which could leave her at risk of early menopause.

The former air stewardess shared a further health update just last month after having a biopsy.

She revealed that she had been diagnosed with a positive HPV result back in May and told how she would need further tests.

Amy said: "Before I went in there, they told me that they would only do biopsies if they really, really had to."

"Surprise, surprise, they really, really had to take the biopsies and they said on the pictures that the cells do look quite high grade so [they'll] probably have to take them out and send them off for testing so I'll have to go back.

"So yeah, not great news but I'm really glad that I had all my smears on time. So if you're watching this thinking, 'Oh, I'm not sure.' Please, please go and book it."

Amy also spoke about their possible engagement on today's show, revealing that she can't wait to get married - despite not being asked yet - but the couple are putting it off for at least two years.

“Next year is now completely a right off," she said. "We know we want to get married in Spain, we don’t want to wait too long and all the venues go very quickly. So we’re there on holiday anyway in September and so we thought we would go and look at some potential venues…”

She also added that she has told her boyfriend not to propose whilst she’s pregnant as “it’s the biggest day of my life and I want to be able to drink champagne!... I’m a control enthusiast!”

The blonde beauty made a name for herself in series five of the popular ITV2 dating show before leaving after being heartbroken by then-partner Curtis Pritchard.

And now she’s found the love of her life in 'nice man' Sam.

It was only a year ago today that Amy introduced Sam to her Instagram followers with a snap of the pair cosying up in front of a Ferris wheel.

Following her appearance on the show, Amy took to her Instagram to announce the news to her Instagram followers.

She posted a snap of herself and Sam grinning as they clutched an ultrasound photo.

She posted a lengthy caption alongside the picture: "Mamma Mia. Here we go…..

"So as you may or may not have noticed we’ve been a little less active on here in the last few months, certainly a lot less drunken behaviour on Amy’s stories [laughing face emoji].

"In short, she’s either been asleep or nauseous. Family is so important to both of us, it was a value that bonded us right from the start and we are so excited to become a family of our own in March.

"From a sober 30th, to a sober week long hen do, it’s been so hard keeping it a secret but we’re so happy we can finally share it all with you!

"We’ve both had individual and collective worries over the years that this may not have been the simplest process or that it may not happen at all.

"Interestingly enough, we got pregnant unexpectedly because the app that was telling us the fertile window was SO out. So much so that if we’d started trying in January as planned we probably wouldn’t have fallen pregnant as we would have been nowhere near the ovulation days!

"We were told earlier this year that if we hadn’t fallen pregnant within 6 months of starting trying, it would be straight to IVF. Life has a funny way eh!!

"Big thanks to @loosewomen for having us today. We felt, as Amy’s talked on the show about fertility MOT’s, solo IVF, Egg freezing and even introduced Sam to the world, it was the only place to share the next step of our story.

"Can’t wait to get back to connecting with you all now we don’t have to bend the truth anymore. As people who always strive to be authentic it’s been SO HARD.

"Finally, we just want to say, to everyone who’s shared their journeys with Amy over the years when she’s talked about IVF/egg freezing/AMH, we will always strive to be as sensitive as we can, minimal moaning, we hope to always have a positive mindset.

"The baby will be an addition to our pages as we share our lives, not the sole focus (Amy literally can’t wait to get back to 1am drunken stories.)

"Right, let’s do this."

Loose Women is on weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV & ITV Hub
