The Easter weekend is almost upon us, meaning families across the country will be looking to celebrate the holiday with some quality time together.
And whether you are planning a big Sunday roast, or arranging an Easter egg hunt, chances are that you will be needing to make a trip to your local supermarket.
As Easter Sunday is a religious holiday, many supermarkets may have different opening hours. Which is why it will be handy to know what times your local supermarket opens and closes on the Easter weekend.
This year Easter Sunday falls on Sunday, April 17, meaning that supermarket opening hours may differ on April 15, 16, 17 and 18 as well.
Luckily, we have managed to dig up some information on when some of the supermarkets across Scotland will be open during the Easter holidays.
Not all supermarkets have confirmed their seasonal opening hours, but we have provided all the information below based on each supermarkets website.
Here is when Aldi, Lidl and many more supermarkets will be open this Easter weekend.
Aldi
The budget supermarkets opening hours on Good Friday (April 15) and Easter Saturday (April 16) will be between 8am -10pm.
Aldi will be closed on Easter Sunday (April 17), before reopening on Easter Monday (April 18) from 8am-8pm.

Lidl
Lidl stores across Scotland will be open normal hours during the Easter holidays, according to their website.
The supermarket will be open from 8am - 10pm on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday as well.

Morrisons
Morrisons opening hours differ depending on your location. On Good Friday and Easter Saturday, most stores will be open from 7am - 10pm, with some others closing at 11pm.
The supermarket will be open on Easter Sunday from 8am-10pm.

Asda
Asda stores across Scotland will be open during the Easter holidays as well and the opening hours do differ.
Some stores will operate at normal hours (7am to 10pm) for the full Easter weekend, while some other stores will close later at around 12am.

Tesco's opening hours across Scotland do differ. On Good Friday most stores will be open from either 7am or 6am, depending on the size of the store and location.
Express stores and larger stores will be open on Easer Sunday and Monday from 8am-8pm.
