Several rain and wind weather warnings are still in place until Monday, and have been issued for every borough in the region.
Storm Eunice is the second named storm in just two days and brought record-breaking gales.
Fallen trees and sink holes, as well as snow, are among the reasons for delays to traffic.
Here are the roads you need to be aware of if you're heading out of the house this afternoon:
- Delays due to snow on A579 Bury Road around A58 Crompton Way.
- A628 Woodhead Pass just passable due to snow between Tintwistle and A616 (Flouch Roundabout).Worst on the Sheffield side and thought to be only just passable. Snake pass is believed to be blocked.
- Kings Road in both directions closed due to fallen tree between A538 Altrincham Road and Carrwood Road.
- Liverpool Street in both directions closed due to a sink hole in the road between Derby Road and Dodd Street. The hole appeared on Friday morning during Storm Eunice.
- Waterside Road in both directions closed due to fallen tree between B6101 Lower Hague and Lower Greenshall Lane.
- Wrenshot Lane closed due to fallen tree from Pheasant Walk to A50 Warrington Road.
Winds reached up to 122mph in England yesterday (Friday), which are stronger than those which struck during the Great Storm in 1987.
At least four people have been killed in the UK and Ireland, and hundreds of thousands of homes are still without power.
Insurers have indicated the clean-up could cost more than £300 million.
