Supermarket giants Aldi, M&S, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and fast food chain Pret-A-Manger have issued an urgent warning about some of their products containing chicken. The list of products is now growing after Waitrose and M&S both removed items for sale.
Both retailers have taken some of their chicken sandwich range off the shelves due to a potential salmonella risk. Both chains said they taken the decision as a "precautionary measure" and urged customers not to eat the sandwiches and wraps.
The move came as Pret A Manger removed all the chicken items on its menu, and Aldi recalled its chicken and bacon Caesar wraps and Sainsburys took action on its cooked chicken offering.
