After enduring months of fear and uncertainty, a mother made the difficult decision to flee Gaza to protect her children from the ongoing violence. She expressed her deepest concerns about the safety of her children amidst the constant threat of air strikes, which ultimately led her to leave her home in search of a safer environment.

Now residing in Egypt, she continues to grapple with survivor's guilt, facing physical, emotional, and mental challenges as a result of the traumatic experiences she endured. Despite the hardships she faces, she remains vocal about the underreporting of the devastation in Gaza and highlights the importance of Palestinian journalists and residents documenting the war crimes being committed.

One particularly poignant encounter she shared was with a young child at a hospital in Khan Younis, who revealed a heartbreaking truth about the contents of his backpack, symbolizing the tragic reality faced by many innocent victims in Gaza. The emotional toll of witnessing such scenes has left a lasting impact on her, causing feelings of guilt and regret for not being able to document the heartbreaking moment.

Reflecting on the dire situation in Gaza, she emphasized the lack of normalcy and basic opportunities for the residents, attributing the challenges to the restrictions imposed by western governments and lawmakers. She criticized the double standards in addressing the Israel-Gaza conflict and called for greater accountability and action to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
