Active COVID-19 cases continue to dip in Mysuru region

  

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Mysuru is in single digits since the last few days and the continuing dip is in sync with the nation-wide trend.

These numbers are the lowest ever since the pandemic broke out more than two years ago and the three waves that swept across the country. The neighbouring districts of Kodagu, Mandya and Chamarajanagar too display a similar trend and the active cases are in single digit.

There were 7 active cases in Mysuru district as on 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday of whom 6 were in home isolation and one patient was in a COVID-dedicated private hospital. The authorities tested 1,278 samples during the last 24 hours and none tested positive.

In all the cumulative positive cases reported from Mysuru district is 2,29,455 and the cumulative discharges 2,26,890 while there were 2,558 cumulative deaths.

In Kodagu, there was only 1 active case of COVID-19 and there is no containment zones anywhere in the district. The sole patient is under home isolation. So it is with Mandya where not a single case was detected in the last 24 hours and there was only 1 active case and the patient was in home isolation.

In Chamarajanagar district there were 2 COVID-19 active cases while no fresh cases were detected on Wednesday even as both the patients are in home isolation.
