"A whole pineapple???" – hilarious video reveals unlikely items found at ski resort during spring cleanup

Steamboat springs ski resort gondola.

Chances are, you've dropped a ski glove from the chairlift or know someone who has, so you probably wouldn't be surprised to learn that when the snow melts at Colorado's resorts, some personal items reappear. You might, however, be surprised to learn how many people go home from a day of skiing minus their skis, even leaving behind tropical fruits.

In a hilarious Instagram video, which you can watch below, Breckenridge Ski Resort shows the riches collected by 200 employees during their annual spring cleanup on Friday.

The list of items gathered from under the ski lifts on Peaks 7, 8 and 9 ranges from predictable (Mardi Gras beads, earbuds, vapes, a mountain of ski gloves and poles) to baffling (a huge bottle of BBQ sauce, a whole pineapple, someone's Invisalign, a rental snowboard, nine single skis) and suggests that a lot of folks had some pretty memorable days on the mountain this winter.

Whether you're resort skiing in winter or hiking in the backcountry in summer, the rules of Leave No Trace always apply – pack out everything you bring with you and help keep the mountains pristine for all users, including local wildlife which really shouldn't be feasting on pineapples in Colorado.
