A 'strictly no men allowed' club night is coming to Manchester

A club night where men are banned is coming to Manchester next month.

Lick Events is taking over the Ritz on May 7, for a special one-off night. It's part of a nationwide tour the popular London club has recently announced.

Lick nights, which boast they're 'for women, by women', have a 'strict no men allowed' policy, aimed at providing a safe space for women and trans women to party. It grew from a monthly night launched several years, to a permanent club in London's Vauxhall district in 2019.

The Manchester date on Saturday, May 7 is part of a tour of UK cities this spring also including Brighton and Birmingham. Events in Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Dublin, Bristol, Nottingham and Leeds are also being planned.

The Manchester night will include DJ sets from Monique B, Janelle Wynter and Miller Black. Lick’s event page says: "LICK is finally coming to Manchester and you’re in for a treat! STRICTLY NO MEN ALLOWED."

There's also an Instagram group called @licknclique for women attending the night alone who want to make new friends.
