An environmental campaign group targeted 80 vehicles in Clifton last night by letting down their tyres. Tyre Extinguishers held a night of action across Europe, with cars targeted in the UK, France, Italy and Germany.
Cities targeted by the the international climate group last night include London, Paris, Toulouse, Berlin and Milan. The action was held to mark a year since the launch of the Tyre Extinguishers. On March 7 last year, the first TE actions took place across the UK, later spreading internationally.

Mercedes Driver, spokeswoman for The Tyre Extinguishers, said: “Happy birthday to us! Things were quiet over the winter but we are now emerging ready for another year of lentil-based action.
"We act because politicians won’t take even baby steps to make our streets and climate safe. We won’t stop until these polluting vehicles are history.”
The group says more than 10,000 tyres have been deflated so far in 17 countries - UK, USA, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, New Zealand, Italy and Ireland.
