Patrick Beverley has garnered a noteworthy reputation as a trash talker throughout his NBA career. According to the 12-year veteran, there are at least five players who deserve to stand in a class of their own in that department.
Appearing on GQ’s Actually Me, the 76ers guard answered questions from fans, which included offering his take on which players are the NBA’s “biggest trash talkers.” Beverley, without much hesitation, cast his picks with a corresponding starting five of Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Luka Dončić, Russell Westbrook and, of course, himself.
Beverley labeled Green and Durant as his “for sure” picks as top-tier trash talkers, given their own well-documented reputations. He then described Dončić as “low-key as hell,” which some fans may agree with, before tossing his name and Westbrook’s in the mix as being two guys who are “up there.”
“Cool little five,” said Beverley humbly before moving on to the next topic.
After carving out a long career as a role player, Beverley has certainly done whatever it takes to keep his spot in the league as he approaches Year 13. And, much like the rest of his list, the passionate vet figures to be in for a few more trashing talking gems in the 2023–24 season.
