Humber International Enterprise Park has been launched onto the market, a major move as the freeports era dawns in Hull.
It is the first tranche of port-centric manufacturing sites to be released by Associated British Ports, and, if fully developed, would offer hundreds of employment opportunities backed by tens of millions of pounds of investment.
Almost half of the 468-acre site, beyond Saltend Chemicals Park to the east of the current Port of Hull footprint, enjoys enterprise zone status within the Humber Freeport tax assisted zone, with outline planning granted.

Sites spanning 25,000 sq ft to two million sq ft are highlighted, with potential quayside access to the port via a dedicated road/rail link.
Simon Bird, ABP’s Humber regional director, said: “HIEP offers huge potential to support business growth for those looking to base themselves in the Humber.
“Port-centric manufacturers would have easy access to import and export commodities whilst benefiting from the Humber Freeport status.
“The development area is also close to the A1033, providing access to the A63 and M62 motorway.”
Commercial property consultants CBRE and Savills have been appointed to act as agents and advise on the leasehold bespoke development opportunities.
On-site renewable energy generation from the UK’s largest commercial rooftop solar array and access to a large skilled workforce are also flagged.
The Humber has been declared the leading freeport zone in the UK, with a strong focus on the decarbonisation agenda on the ‘Energy Estuary’.
