'Zombie Angelina Jolie' unveils her real face in first interview since prison release

The woman who posted eerie selfies looking like a 'zombie' Angelina Jolie has shown her real face to fans for the first time following her release from prison.

Iranian Sahar Tabar left social media stunned with her gaunt look supposedly resembling both a mythological undead creature and famous movie star.

But it appears like she has fooled us all after a TV interviewed showed what she really looks like as she held her hands up to the spooky-looking images being fake, the Daily Star reports.

The 21-year-old (real name Fatemeh Khishvand) admitted that the image was created through clever computer effects - and now we can see that she looks nothing like the A-List megastar.

Recently released from prison, she explained that she hadn't received cosmetic surgery and the images were created thanks to her editing skills.

Tabar was arrested in October 2019 for "corruption" and "blasphemy", and served 14 months of a 10-year prison sentence before being released due to public unrest.

The government-run media publication quoted Sahar: “What you saw on Instagram was the computer effects I used to create the image."

The influencer apparently "wanted to be famous since I was a child".

She was also quoted saying: “Cyberspace was an easy way. It was much easier than becoming an actor."

However, despite her history with the app and following her release from prison, Sahar seemingly suggested that she may no longer use the photo-sharing app again.

“I'm sure I will not even put Instagram on my phone anymore, let alone have a page", she said.

Fatemeh's Instagram account was opened in 2017 and amassed around 500,000 followers and thanks to her Photoshop wizardry she created creepy photos, as well as videos, of her apparently disfigured face with hollowed-out cheeks.

After initially fooling some of her fans with her appearance, questions were raised about the authenticity of her photos and pointed out clues such as her warped backgrounds.

She said in 2019 that she had always wanted to be famous - but was aiming more for a look of the Corpse Bride in Tim Burton's animated film of the same name rather than the Oscar-winning Jolie.

After being criticised for her bizarre makeovers, she added: “People are probably living in the 18th century and they haven’t seen or heard of technology or make-up and they are really surprised.”
