Zoe Ball returned to BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday morning after she dramatically pulled out of Monday's show.
The presenter, 51, explained her absence was because she had 'delayed shock' after she had 'a bit of an incident' while driving to work.
Zoe told her listeners she was left shaken after her car tyre ran flat on the A3 which caused 'damage' to the road as she thanked travel reporter Richie Anderson for standing in for her.
The radio host said: "My good news is I've made it into work on time and in one piece. I've not torn up the gantry on the A3 this morning, apologies for the damage. I am planning on staying for the whole show.
"But it does go to show you never can tell. Thanks so much to Richie and Ken for masterfully holding the show together yesterday.
"Thanks for your kind messages. I had a bit of an incident and I think I had a little bit of delayed shock. All good now though."
Zoe took to Twitter on Monday evening to apologise for pulling out of the show.
The presenter had been running late due to her tyre scare with Richie covering until she took the reins back at around 6.50am, but she then disappeared without warning.
Richie explained to listeners Zoe had gone home as she wasn't "feeling too well", though no further details were provided.
She took to social media: "Apologies for this morning gang, tyre went on the way in to work. I was so keen not miss the show, dashed in and hadn't quite realised the effect it'd had on me."
The presenter assured fans she was ok and thanked them for the "lovely messages" she had received since her unexpected departure from the broadcast.
Zoe went on to thank her colleagues, including Richie, for stepping in and concluded the post by confirming to fans that she will be back for the radio show on Tuesday.
Fans had been worried following the news that she wasn't feeling well, with some later expressing gratitude at hearing she was okay when she tweeted about the experience.
Zoe was announced as the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast host in 2018 and took over the role from Chris Evans a year later, with Rylan Clark replacing her afternoon slot.
The television presenter was the second highest paid talent by the BBC last year, coming second to Gary Lineker.
Zoe took home £980,000, but it was a 28 per cent pay cut from her £1,130,000-£1,134,999 earnings from 2020/ 2021, after the broadcaster made pay cuts due to the pandemic.
