Actress Zendaya has had to deny pregnancy rumours after a TikTok prank went viral.
The video on the social media platform appeared to show a fake sonogram photo which had been photoshopped to look like the Euphoria star had posted the pic herself.
However, the 25-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to rebuff the rumours that she was pregnant with Tom Holland's child and complained about people "making stuff up for no reason".
In an Instagram story, she told her 145 million followers: "See now, this is why I stay off Twitter... Just making stuff up for no reason... weekly."
The fake video was uploaded as part of a prank titled getting "Krissed" and began was a made-up sonogram image alongside Zendaya's photoshopped profile pic.
The fake caption on the post which was made to look like it was from the actress read: "I love you. Halfway there."
There was even a fake comment attached by Marisa Tomei in a bid to make it look more realistic.
The end of the video showed Kris Jenner dancing to Lady Marmalade and the message read: "You Just get Krissed! Send this to your friends to #Kris them!"
Despite being labelled a prank, not everyone understood this and started sharing the fake news.
Among those to almost fall for the news was rapper Lil Nas X.
The musician reacted hilariously, tweeting: "I hate twitter because I'm sitting here about to congratulate zendaya via dm about a baby that doesn't exist."
Another fan made the assumption that Zendaya often distances herself from social media due to rumours like this. They wrote: "Zendaya is NOT pregnant and THIS is why she don't talk to us!"
A third tweeted a pic of Homer Simpson cosy in bed and wrote: "The person who said Zendaya pregnant to get Twitter in a frenzy rn."
And a fourth said: "“Refreshing twitter to make sure the ‘Zendaya pregnant’ trend is false."
The hoax came about just weeks after Zendaya went official in her relationship with Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland.
Marking his 26th birthday, the actress posted a black and white photo of them both on Instagram as they embraced each other.
She wrote alongside the snap: "Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest."
