The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings back the shrines from the first game but with all-new puzzles this time around. With new mechanics at play and more devious minds behind the challenges, they’re bound to be just as challenging – if not more so than in Breath of the Wild.
One of the most complicated is the Ukouh Shrine, The Ability to Create, which serves as a tutorial for the Ultrahand ability. As you’ll be at the start of your adventure, you may not be familiar with the mechanics, which makes this one a bit of a challenge. That’s why we’re here to explain the puzzle and give you the solution.
If you want to clear up the other shrines on the Great Sky Island, check out our guides for the Gutanbac Shrine, the In-isa Shrine, and the Nachoyah Shrine.
Ukouh Shrine guide – Zelda TotK
The first thing you need to do is use Ultrahand to pick up the slab on your right. You can use the right stick to lift it and move it around. If you hold R and use the D-pad, you can rotate an object if you need to. Drop the slab over the gap to create a bridge.
The second uses the same principle, but the gap is bigger, so you’ll need to put two slabs together to make a longer slab.
Finally, you’ll have a wooden platform and a hook. Attach the two so that the hook is sticking straight up from the platform. Lift it up and rotate it so that it hangs on the bar that goes over the gap. Hop on it and you’ll slide down the rail to the other side.
