Zara Tindall's comforting gesture to cousin Prince Harry as he walked alone

Zara Tindall gave her cousin a comforting gesture in a bid to keep peace within her family at the King's Coronation on Saturday.

The daughter of Princess Anne was spotted by some eagle-eyed royal watchers as she reached out to Prince Harry at Westminster Abbey.

Harry had just flown in from the US for the event, but he was seen zooming away just hours later at Heathrow as he bid to get home to California for son Archie's fourth birthday party.

Alone at the prestigious abbey, it was his older cousin who made an attempt to bring him back into the fold, writes the Mirror.

It was Harry's first time seeing many members of the royal family, since his controversial comments about a number of them including Queen Camilla and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton, as well as Prince William, in his book Spare, which was released earlier this year.

As such, the relationship is strained with a lot of his family, especially William and Charles, and this was the first public appearance they had made together since the fall-out hit news headlines.

While there were questions over whether the Sussexes would be at the Coronation, in the end Harry said he would be there but Meghan Markle decided to stay in the United States with their children.

Harry was seated in the third row for the crowning of Charles at Westminster Abbey - two rows behind his brother William.

Zara and her husband, I'm a Celeb and rugby star Mike Tindall, are reported to be some of the royals Harry still has a relationship with.

He was walking into Westminster Abbey with his cousins Beatrice and Eugenie when Zara was seen to turn her back on the rest of the group she was with to say hello to him after he was seen to mouth “hi”.

During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Harry and Meghan were also seen having a friendly chat with Zara.

As we reported earlier, Prince Harry watched on as the crown was placed on King Charles III's head at the Coronation.

During live footage of the historic event, the Duke of Sussex was seen watching on as the archbishop raised St Edward's Crown above his father's head before crowning him.

The congregation then paid homage to the new monarch, and Harry was seen, along with the other royals around him, speaking the words: "God save King Charles. Long live King Charles. May the King live forever."

Harry was then spotted joking with Princess Eugenie's husband about his quick visit to the UK.
