Zara shoppers have been left feeling “repulsed” after spotting a photo of a pair of pink earrings on social media.
The popular high street retailer, which has a Liverpool city centre store, boasts a loyal following of fashion fans, keen to snap up its latest products.
Parody Instagram account Awkward Zara mocks some of the retailer’s quirkier outfits and advert campaigns, and has built a following of thousands of people.

The account points out how absurd some of Zara’s photos and adverts can be, such as models posing in unusual positions and products often being modelled on inanimate objects like teddy bears, fruit and more.
The Instagram page recently shared a photo of some jewellery photographed on top of food products, including a pair of £15.99 pink clay rhinestone earrings plonked next to a broken egg with the yolk running underneath the earrings.
Awkard Zara captioned the image: “when he breaks up with you over brunch and asks you to give him back all of the jewellery he bought you”.
Many amused followers shared their thoughts in the comments section. One said: “Eurgh why has this repulsed me so much [crying laughing emojis] yolky earrings ? VOM”.
A second wrote: “Seriously, I feel embarrassed for the eggs” with another simply commenting: “This is disturbing!”
A fourth person said: “Kitchen staff losing their jewellery in the food again. So unhygienic. Where are the food inspectors?"
Someone else wrote: “No plz don’t let that be an egg”.
With another commenting: "I just can’t with their advertising" followed by a string of crying laughing emojis.
