Jets quarterback Zach Wilson went to the locker room just before halftime with what the team called a case of dehydration. Trevor Siemian came into the game at the end of the second quarter and was started the third quarter as Wilson remains out.
Early in the third quarter, CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson reported Wilson was ruled out with a head injury. He is not being evaluated for a concussion but he is done for the day. Siemian will be in the rest of the way.
With Wilson out, the Jets have Siemian and Brett Rypien as the emergency third quarterback if need be — if Siemian were to get injured. Wilson took a beating in the first quarter. He was sacked four times and lost a fumble as the Jets went into the locker room down 24-0 and totaled negative-10 passing yards in the first half.
