The Baltimore Ravens will enter the 2024 season with plenty of personnel changes to their defense. Players such as Patrick Queen, Geno Stone, and others have left the team, and defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald is also no longer with the team.
Zach Orr will step in and take Macdonald’s place as the team’s defensive play-caller and is already looking to establish a standard. When asked about the team’s season last year and what they can do in 2024, he responded, ” You’re either getting better, or you’re getting worse.”
“Definitely. I definitely see that mindset. We always say, ‘You’re either getting better, or you’re getting worse, and you set a standard, then you try to set a new standard and raise the bar.’ So, the guys have taken that on [with a] full head of steam, and like I said, their approach these last four days has been great, and they’ve shown that.”
Orr will be needed for a Baltimore team with Super Bowl aspirations in 2024. He hasn’t called a game as a coach at any level before, but he will have plenty of stars around him to help ease him into his new position.
