Zach LaVine has championship expectations for the Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls find themselves looking up towards the top of the elite in the Eastern Conference heading into the 2022-23 season.

Last season, the Bulls claimed the No. 6 seed in the East, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks in five games in the first-round of the playoffs.

For Bulls All-Star Zach LaVine, despite the East continuing to get better, his confidence in himself and his team will never waiver.

“If they’re not high then what are we doing here?” LaVine said on media day. “Obviously, we were a team that held a top-seeded record in the East all the way until a little bit after the All-Star break. Made our first playoff berth and got our feet wet but our expectations have to be really high. If we’re not thinking we can compete for championships, we’re selling ourselves short.”

The Bulls are universally seen as being near the bottom of the playoff seeding in the East, with the No. 6 seed that they held last season looking like a potential ceiling.

If injuries seem to his Chicago once again this season, LaVine and the Bulls may looking more towards the play-in more so than the playoffs.
