The Cincinnati Bengals have three major names nursing notable injuries ahead of training camp: Wideout Tee Higgins, linebacker Logan Wilson and defensive end Joseph Ossai.
And Bengals head coach Zac Taylor expects all of them to remain on the same timeline, meaning a full-go nod by the time training camp rolls around in July.
“Yeah, I think that’s the timeline we’re expecting,” Taylor said, according to CLNS’ Media’s Mike Petraglia. “You don’t want to make a prediction on May 24 but I think there’s a possibility that works out for them.”
Higgins needed his labrum repaired, Wilson did the same after playing through the injury and Ossai had his rookie season ended before it could start after a promising preseason.
It should go without saying, but all three being on track from the first day of camp would be ideal. Higgins is a No. 1 wideout, Wilson is the heart of the defense and the team is heavily relying on those stunning preseason flashes from Ossai to show up right away.
Elsewhere on the injury front, big free-agent add Alex Cappa is currently sidelined for at least a few weeks with an injury of his own.
