Zac Taylor provides injury updates on Cappa, Williams and Hendrickson

The Cincinnati Bengals have some key injuries to monitor as the team preps to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game.

While the offense got encouraging performances from linemen like Jackson Carman in the divisional round, the team would like to get left tackle Jonah Williams and right guard Alex Cappa back soon.

According to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Taylor said this on both Cappa and Williams: “Improving every day. See where it ends up.”

Vague, as expected. But news on Williams had already been encouraging and it was an injury he had played through in the past. Cappa was always speculated as a possible AFC title game or Super Bowl return, should they make those games. Cappa was in a boot while on the sidelines on Sunday in Buffalo.

Taylor also revealed that defensive end Trey Hendrickson is just fine after a visit to the x-ray room during Sunday’s game, per ESPN’s Ben Baby. He continues to play through a broken wrist.

As of now, the same line that started three backs in a very good showing last week will start against the Chiefs and Hendrickson will continue to hover in his current snap-count range while gutting it out through his injury.
