Zac Efron's Down to Earth series has dropped on Netflix - and the thirst is real

Netflix viewers have been sent into meltdown over Zac Efron (Picture: Netflix)

Zac Efron’s latest role finds him as an actor-turned-presenter in Netflix’s new travel series - but it’s not just the exotic locations that fans are in love with.

In Down to Earth with Zac Efron, which premiered on Netflix on July 10, Efron “journeys around the world with wellness expert Darin Olien in search of healthy, sustainable ways to live.”

From Iceland and Italy to Puerto Rico, Efron learns how various people around the world are living sustainable lifestyles.

Naturally, the show is receiving a lot of buzz on social media and is currently among the UK’s top 10 titles on the streaming platform.

But while fans are loving the premise of the show, it seems much of the chatter is directed towards the High School Musical star’s famous good looks.

Twitter has a bounty of posts about Efron’s body in the travel show, with many thirsting over the skin the actor shows off.

One viral tweet reads: “Suddenly I am in love again with Zac Efron."

“Sexual awakening when I was a teenager: Zac Efron. Sexual awakening as a 29 year old adult: Zac Efron,” wrote another.

A third added: “Me: I'm straight and married. Zac Efron: Oh hi there. Me: Well, I'm not that straight or married.”

Sharing a David Attenborough gif, another chimed in: “Me trying to convince my bf that I watch #DownToEarth for the nature & not for Zac Efron.”

Efron himself took to Twitter to thank viewers for their support of the series, writing: “Love you guys.”

The show is Efron’s second recent turn as a presenter, with the star appearing in an upcoming Quibi series called Killing Zac Efron.

The survival series, produced by Efron, finds him trying to survive in a remote and wild location.

Efron was hospitalised during the shoot in 2019 after contracting a bacterial infection in Papua New Guinea.
