Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has dropped a potential “come and get me” plea to Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window. The Mali international has already been linked with a move to the Emirates.
The 25-year-old could be part of a huge squad makeover for Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard’s team came close to a top four finish last season, but missed out by the barest of margins, settling for a return to the Europa League.
The pre-season offers a chance to reinforce his options to finally qualify for the Champions League once again. Discussing his plans, Arteta said: “We are going to have certain resources, not unlimited resources, some resources.

“And with our resources we have to play and do what we have to do in the best possible way. We don't know what the rest are going to have in terms of resources, which I'm assuming is going to be challenging because now it's not a top three or top four league. Now it is a top eight or 10 teams that are involved. That's why we have to find a way to do again what we did last summer.”
While a striker may be the priority, following Alexandre Lacazette ’s exit, another area of contention is the midfield. Duo Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka were the regular pairing, however there were few options beyond them.
As a result, a number of players have been linked, including Ruben Neves, Youri Tielemans and Yves Bissouma. And it’s the latter that appears to have dropped a hint over his desire for a move.
Taking to his Instagram story, the midfielder posted a number of clips featuring his two assists for Mali in an AFCON qualifier win over Congo. One Arsenal fan posted the clips with the caption: “For me, I think he and Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get @yvesbissouma at all cost @Arsenal.”
That was then reposted by the Brighton player, suggesting he may be angling for a move to the Emirates. It remains to be seen if the deal can be done, but it could be a huge move for the Gunners.
