Yves Bissouma's Instagram activity on international duty gets Arsenal fans excited

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma has caused quite the stir among Arsenal fans as a result of his latest Instagram story.

The Mali international has long been on the Gunners' radar as a result of his stellar showings in the middle of the park for the Seagulls and his links with the North Londoners are not likely to end anytime soon. This is because Bissouma has openly shared posts calling for him move to the Emirates to his own Instagram profile.

Bissouma re-posted a short clip of one of his own performances during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo earlier this week, alongside a caption posted by the original uploader that read: "For me, I think that he [Bissouma] and [Youri] Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get Yves Bissouma at all costs @arsenal."

The Brighton man did not stop at one, re-sharing another post from the same user who went under the display name of "1rafc" - the second story reading: "I've been following up on Bissouma and I think he's the one to replace Partey long-term, he's just 25."

While the Amex faithful are unlikely to be overjoyed by the fact their midfield lynchpin is making overtures towards the Gunners, Arsenal fans are very pleased with the latest update.

It is clear that manager Mikel Arteta is in the market for a midfielder this summer, with Leicester City star Tielemans the name most prominent at the moment as Arsenal look to secure the Belgian's signature for as little as £25million.

If the Gunners are going to make a serious move for Bissouma, it is a case of the sooner the better as news of interest from other potential suitors begins to circulate. Aston Villa have long been reported as keeping tabs on the 25-year-old but now he has another admirer in Ligue 1.

French outfit Monaco are rumoured to have identified Bissouma as a potential replacement for their own wantaway star in Aurelien Tchouameni, who is on the verge of sealing a move to La Liga titans Real Madrid.

Bissouma played like a man fully committed to the cause for Brighton last season and, in turn, helped guide Graham Potter's side to their highest ever league finish. With that being said, a lack of European football on offer is thought to be a sticking point for the midfielder.

Though Arsenal failed to qualify for next season's Champions League, they have secured a return to the Europa League, which could be more than enough in the eyes of Bissouma.
