A new Nottingham restaurant will open its doors this weekend with half-price burgers and a ninja mascot. YUM Burger has taken over an empty pub in Sneinton Dale. YUM, which also has outlets in Derby and Walsall, prides itself on affordable prices with burgers starting at £1.50 - and these will be just 75p on Saturday and Sunday (June 18 and 19).
The burger bar has moved into the former Dale Hotel which closed its doors in 2018 after pulling pints for nearly 90 years. It was once voted Nottingham Evening Post's Pub of the Year. After a major makeover it will be officially opened at 2pm on Saturday by the mascot Hunga Killa, whose mission is to "sneak up on those hunger pangs and sort them out out thanks to YUM Burger’s extensive, freshly made menu."
YUM offers 20 different burgers starting with the most affordable, the All Day Erry Day, with a 45g patty with lettuce, cheese and ketchup for £1.50, to the Yumbo Jumbo, a 180g mega-beef patty with fried egg, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomatoes, gherkins and the special YUM sauce, served in a 6in bun, which clocks in at £7.

Chicken lovers can look forward to the Mother Clucker, and Oh My Cod will keep pescatarians happy with a battered fish fillet with cheese and tartare sauce. Non-meat eaters can tuck into Hallou There! which comes with halloumi and sweet chilli sauce.
Burgers can be accompanied by wedges or curly fries and sides of chicken wings, crispy chicken tenders and onion rings are served. To wash it down there are shakes and soft drinks in flavours including Blue Mist and Tropical Twist.
Owner Aqil Yasin said: “I am really excited that YUM Burger has arrived in Nottingham. We’ve had a great reception in Derby and Walsall. The people of Nottingham now have a chance to taste our awesome burgers and shakes and see what we have to offer.”
YUM Burger will be open from 2pm to 11pm across the opening weekend. Customers can eat in, call and collect on 0115 924 2451 or order online via Uber Eats.
