Alan Hutton reckons Celtic don't need to add another central defender with reports in Japan suggesting a transfer fee has been agreed for Yuki Kobayashi.
Ange Postecoglou has used his knowledge of the Far East to his advantage since his arrival in Glasgow bringing in Kyogo Furuhashi last summer before completing a triple J-League swoop last January to land Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuki Ideguchi. It's claimed he is ready to dive in once again and do a deal with Vissel Kobe for stopper Kobayashi.
Cameron Carter-Vickers has been a rock at the heart of the Celtic backline since arriving on loan from Tottenham before a big money fee was shelled out to land him permanently. He formed a solid partnership with Carl Starfelt last term and has since built another strong rapport with Moritz Jenz - with the Swede out injured but back in training.

Stephen Welsh is also on the books at Parkhead giving Postecoglou plenty options in that area of the pitch in an area ex-Rangers defender Hutton describes as 'very strong'.
Although he understands that you can't stand still and always need to strengthen the ranks.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “I see Celtic as very strong at this moment in time. But, I understand from a Celtic point of view that you can’t stand still.
“I think [Moritz] Jenz and [Cameron] Carter-Vickers have got a great relationship, they look very strong together. [Stephen] Welsh and [Carl] Starfelt are obviously in there as well.
“It is probably not an area that I see that is totally needed at this moment in time. But Ange will have done his homework, he probably knows the player and what he is capable of.
“So he will have a good idea of what he is bringing in to the football club. If it is an opportunity to bring in a top football player I am sure they will do it.“
