YouTuber Nikocado Avocado Claims He's Still Obese, Mocks Fans for Believing He Lost Weight: 'Y'all Have to IQ of a Bag of Rocks'

Followers of Nikocado Avocado are reeling as the YouTuber drags his disoriented audience through a mastermind publicity stunt where he first claimed to secretly lose a massive amount of weight, then called everyone who believed him "so stupid."

Nikocado Avocado, a popular mukbang YouTuber, rose to internet fame live-streaming videos while indulging in copious amounts of food. One recent video shows Nikocado Avocado weighing in at 361 pounds. Viewer concerns for the creator's health did not deter him from posting more of the content that made him famous.

When Nikocado claimed in a Sept. 7 video that he secretly lost 250 pounds over the last two years, and that all his previous videos were actually pre-recorded, the internet was shocked. The video, titled "Two Steps Ahead," called the project a "social experiment."

In the days that followed, the influencer posted "before and after" photos on Instagram, and videos of the "new" Nikocado Avocado to TikTok and YouTube, even creating a second channel, Nikocado Avocado 2. He did interviews with major news outlets, where his weight loss journey and content strategy were applauded.

Flash forward to Wednesday, Sept. 18. He posts a video where he appears to be at his original weight.

"Who in their right mind does a social experiment gaining 250 pounds for five years in a row?" he asked. "Y'all are so stupid."

"Think outside the box. Don't believe everything you're told, including from me," he urges viewers.

Commenters aren't sure what to think. The most popular reply reads, "What is happening rn 😭" while another says, "My ex wasn't even this confusing."

Many comments point out "the apple dance" video posted a week earlier, where the "weight loss" version of Nikocado is doing a viral TikTok dance from summer 2024, confused about how it could be fake.

Refusing to be "fooled again" another comment says, "This is a draft 😂" inferring the "gotcha" video is just another part of series of videos recorded before the weight loss.

Nikocado replied to many of the comments insisting the stint was an AI deep fake, telling his audience to "Look closely at the background and the edges of my face."

Whether his social experiment was a secret weight loss journey or a fake weight loss journey, Nikocado has clearly taken the internet for a ride.
