Alex Wassabi has thanked Jake Paul after the YouTube star offered his support ahead of his boxing debut on Saturday night.
The pair have been friends for years since Jake and his older brother Logan moved to California to pursue their entertainment dreams in 2014.
And Jake has taken to social media to back Wassabi against his former opponent Deji in his first official boxing match set for Saturday night at London's OVO Arena Wembley.
There's no love lost between social media stars Deji and Paul, who fought in a white-collar boxing match back in 2018 which the American won with a fifth-round stoppage.
And in the comments of a social media post last month, Paul's promotional company 'Most Valuable Promotions' predicted a Wassabi victory.
The post said "10 days until Deji returns to the boxing ring", and MVP commented underneath that it should instead read "10 days until Deji loses again" before adding "Alex Wassabi's got this".
And the American responded in kind last night when speaking with Mirror Fighting , noting that he and the Pauls have been close for a number of years.
"That was crazy, it was cool," Wassabi said. "Me, Jake and Logan have been friends for years.
"Since they first moved to LA, when they lived at The Grove, we've known each other for a while.
"Logan and I were neighbours for years, they're really good guys."
The rivalry between Deji and Paul appeared to be over after the definitive end to their boxing match, but it was reignited this week when the Brit suggested a possible rematch.
He has completely revamped his lifestyle in an effort to take boxing more seriously, including joining up to a new training team.
And he believes that he's just five fights away from a rematch with Paul, who responded to interviews he had done by calling him a "pube" and a "f***ing idiot".
"That's the plan," Deji told Mirror Fighting about a possible rematch. "I need to build up a portfolio, but who knows I might get another shot at redemption - I guess I'd need maybe five wins, potentially, we'll see though, nobody knows."
He was shocked to hear that Paul had made negative comments about him, especially given that he had generally been positive towards his old rival.

Deji had said: "Even if you hate Jake Paul, you have to respect what he's doing, I don't hate him, but I hated him back then.
"As of now, not really because you grow up and everything but I have just nothing but respect for what he's doing. To get in the ring is one of the hardest things to do."
And after reading Paul's comments, he reiterated that he was "proud" of him, adding: "It's funny - I said nothing but nice things about him and he called me an idiot.
"So maybe I am an idiot for saying nice things about him. All the best Jake, I'm proud of you man!"
