YouTube boxer KSI told his brother Deji to never fight again after losing third fight

YouTube boxer KSI told his younger brother Deji that he should never box again after losing to Alex Wassabi in his third fight last year.

The social media stars have shared a rocky relationship over the years, but have turned it around and are now very close as they both pursue careers in the ring. And in new footage from Deji's third consecutive defeat last year, the British pair can be seen discussing the younger sibling's fighting career as he awaits the judges' decision for his third bout.

KSI's career was the focus of Louis Theroux's new Amazon Prime documentary 'KSI: In Real Life' in which a no-holds-barred look is taken at his lifestyle. There is minimal focus on his boxing career, which he restarted last summer and is taking as his primary concern for the rest of 2023, and it instead explores his relationships with his family and girlfriend as well as his YouTube and music careers.

The biggest boxing spectacle that is shown is Deji's comeback fight at the OVO Arena Wembley in March, which he lost by a split decision. And in a vulnerable moment with his brother, Deji can be seen asking "Do I go again? Do I box again?" KSI responds by saying that if he wins he should continue, but if not then the answer would be no. Seconds later, the scores are read out.

"Bro, this is your opportunity, this is your chance," KSI can be seen saying before asking his brother if he thinks he won. Deji shakes his head as if to say 'no', before replying that he doesn't know and asking if he thought he had won. KSI responds "what do you think?" And before the conversation can continue Wassabi is announced as the winner.

Ultimately, KSI decided that instead of imploring his brother to quit the sport, he would give him an opportunity on his undercard the following August, matching him with the returning Yusef 'Fousey' Erakat. The American looked in phenomenal shape after undergoing a massive body transformation, but Deji showed his ability and finally managed to land himself a stoppage victory.

The documentary finishes before the August 27 card where KSI ended up facing two opponents in one night and Deji defeated Fousey. KSI had been due to face Wassabi in an effort to get revenge for his brother's defeat, but the American pulled out three weeks before fight night leading the promotion to find two late replacements.
