YouTube boxer KSI could make another opponent change as Bryce Hall teases fight

YouTube star KSI could be about to change opponents for a second time ahead of his ring return on August 27.

The social media sensation was due to fight Alex Wassabi at the O2 arena in London on DAZN pay-per-view, but the American pulled out after suffering a concussion and was replaced by British rapper Swarmz. And now Tik Tok star Bryce Hall has claimed that he may be able to step in on short notice for a much more appealing fight.

YouTube news reporter Daniel 'Keemstar' Keem suggested that Hall step in to replace the rapper, who has proven a controversial choice given his complete lack of boxing skill and minimal appeal in America. Hall has fought once before, losing to Austin McBroom last summer in Florida, and has been angling for a comeback fight over recent months.

And when the American cheekily replied that he "wants to hear KSI say he needs me," the Brit quickly responded by declaring that Hall "doesn't want it with me". Hall responded: "You tryna [sic] b*** or something? What do you mean by that?"

He then took to Twitter to inform fans that he was on the way to a boxing gym. There, he claimed, he would be informed by a coach if it was reasonable for him to take a short notice fight and pump up by around a stone in two weeks.

Hall tweeted: "I’m going to the boxing gym right now to see how I’m feelin' about accepting a two-week notice fight, but regardless it would be fun to go back and forth with someone like KSI… The only hard part would be gaining 15lb." Seven hours later, Hall posted again, saying "oooooo I feel good."

Fans were delighted by the news, with one asking Hall if the pair had a genuine beef given KSI's frequent shots at the Tik Tok star. They had been lining up a fight prior to his embarrassing stoppage defeat to McBroom, but it now seems that the bout could be back on the table.

"I’m just a mature man," Hall wrote. "And I’m excited to show what I’ve got against someone who everyone views as 'the face of YouTube boxing'."

KSI has expressed that he is returning to boxing in order to eventually get a fight with long-time rival Jake Paul, three years after his last bout against older brother Logan. First, he must show improvement from his win over the elder Paul in a number of tune-up fights, with the pair having agreed to square off at Wembley Stadium next summer.

Wassabi was due to be the first step after he beat KSI's younger brother Deji in March, but that fight has been cancelled and the American replaced by rapper Swarmz. There is a real life feud between KSI and Swarmz dating back to issues while promoting their Top 10 single Houdini in 2020.
