Youth killed over road rage

A 22-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death over road rage in J.J. Nagar police station limits on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Chandru, a resident of Jaimaruthinagar.

According to the police, Chandru along with his friend, went out around 2.30 a.m. to have a snack . While riding on Haleguddadahalli, their bike touched another bike rider. Heated arguments ensued, which took an ugly turn when the accused bike rider attacked Chandru with a knife and sped away.

The severely injured Chandru was rushed to hospital where he succumbed later.

The police arrested Shahid Pasha, 21, Shahid Goli, 22, and booked a juvenile for allegedly stabbing Chandru to death. The trio have been arrested based on the CCTV footage and local intelligence gathered from the scene of crime. They have been booked under murder and taken into custody for further investigation, the police added.
