Youri Tielemans tells Arsenal what they must do to sign him in fresh transfer hint

Reported Arsenal transfer target Youri Tielemans has spoken out about his future with Leicester City.

The Belgian international is into the final 16 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium, with the Gunners one of many clubs said to be keen on signing him this summer. Football.london understands that the north London outfit are keen to bring in one midfielder at the end of the current campaign, with Mikel Arteta eager to bolster his options in the middle of the park.

Now, Tielemans has admitted he isn't thinking too much about a move at this moment in time. However, he did admit that he wants to play in the UEFA Champions League in the near future.

"I don't worry about it,” the 24-year-old told Het Laatste Nieuws (via voetbalniews ). “I want to get the most out of myself this season and finish as high as possible with the team.”

He added: “Of course I want to play in the Champions League, like any footballer. Am I ready for a European top club?

"I'm ready to get the best out of my career. We'll see what happens next summer, or the summer after that.”

Tielemans is clearly keen to play in Europe's prestigious competition, something Arsenal are currently in a position to qualify for, sitting fourth in the Premier League table three points clear of local rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who have played once more in the league this term. When asked about the silky playmaker earlier this month, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers heaped praise on the former Monaco star, admitting he is a joy to work with.

Rodgers said, as cited by the Mirror : "He is a joy to work with and however long that is, if it is until the end of his contract or beyond that, he will give everything to the club. I have always said before I have no doubt with Youri with his commitment and focus.

“He is a wonderful guy. And he will continue to be until whenever that is.

“He just wants to be the best player he can be. He prepares himself to play the best he can every game."
