Youri Tielemans' latest transfer stance as Arsenal and Manchester United links gather pace

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is reportedly ready to make a move to Arsenal if Mikel Arteta's side submit a bid for him.

Arsenal have been a busy club this summer as the transfer window continues to produce plenty of drama and intrigue ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos have all been purchased by The Gunners as Mikel Arteta aims to bolster the depth in his side with the return of European football on the horizon. There are likely to be plenty of other dealings at the Emirates too.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Tielemans since last summer so it is no surprise that reports of a deal have intensified once again this year. According to Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports, personal terms between the Gunners and the midfielder are already in place.

Jacobs has also added that the player is 'sold on' a move to Arteta's side and is 'waiting' for a deal to be agreed. Tielemans is due to be available at a cut-price fee of around £30 million, and although Manchester United are interested in taking him to Old Trafford, if the Gunners do decide to make a move for him, they're expected to be favourites in the race.

Tielemans is said to believe that Arsenal offers the perfect opportunity for him, despite the Gunners missing out on Champions League football last season.

It's strange that a deal hasn't progressed thus far, but if Edu can negotiate a reasonable fee with the Foxes, it should progress pretty quickly, especially given that Tielemans has just one-year left on his deal at the King Power.
