"Your heads will spin": Trump claims Cohen's book manuscript discredits his testimony

President Trump called for Congress to obtain the manuscript of Michael Cohen's unpublished book, in which the president claimed would show his former lawyer "committed perjury on a scale not seen before" in a series of Friday tweets.

"Congress must demand the transcript of Michael Cohen's new book, given to publishers a short time ago. Your heads will spin when you see the lies, misrepresentations and contradictions against his Thursday testimony. Like a different person! He is totally discredited!"

The backdrop: Cohen told the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that Trump is "becoming an autocrat" and accused him of being "racist" and a "con man." The Daily Beast reported last year that Cohen's book proposal would discuss his time as Trump's "family fix-it guy," but its publication was derailed due to the Stormy Daniels controversy.

Details: "Sometime in early 2018, Mr. Cohen was offered a substantial advance for a proposal regarding a book on. understanding Donald Trump. Mr. Cohen ultimately elected not to proceed. In other words, POTUS has yet lied again...but what's the difference between 9000 or 9001 lies?" Cohen's attorney Lanny Davis said.
