Athletics stars of the future from across the area were rewarded for their performances in this year’s Loch Lomond Fun Run.
Almost 400 children took part in the event at Balloch Park last month, with event sponsors CPR Resurfacing holding a presentation to recognise the three schools that had the most participants compared to their school roll.
William Black, CPR’s executive director, was on hand to present the awards to Balloch, Gartocharn and Levenvale primaries.
He said: “We are delighted to be involved with Run Loch Lomond 10k and 5k again, it is such a positive and celebratory local event.
“With our head office just a few miles from the race and most of our staff living in West Dunbartonshire it is important we support our local community.
“CPR wants to encourage hundreds of children, young people and adults of all ages and abilities to take part in the Fun Run, 5k and 10k.
“This year’s event had an amazing turnout with more than 1100 entries and 140 local volunteers.
“With a race for all ages, it is a great day out for local families.”
