The Trump administration is set to hold its first White House press conference with newly appointed press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday afternoon, as confirmed by White House officials. President Donald Trump has been actively engaging with the media since his inauguration on Jan. 20, participating in interviews and addressing the press during his visits to states affected by natural disasters.
Leavitt, at 27 years old, has become the youngest press secretary in the nation's history, surpassing the record previously held by President Richard Nixon's press secretary Ron Ziegler. She has been a staunch supporter of Trump, defending him during his campaign against former Vice President Kamala Harris and even running for Congress in 2022.
Prior to her current role, Leavitt served as an assistant press secretary in Trump's first administration and later worked as a communications director for New York Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik. Despite an unsuccessful congressional campaign in New Hampshire, she has now taken on the position of press secretary in the Trump administration.

Trump's initial days in office have been marked by a flurry of executive orders aimed at fulfilling his campaign promises, including actions related to border security and federal office practices. In his inaugural speech, Trump expressed confidence in a new era of national success and emphasized the opportunity for America to lead on the global stage.
Unlike his predecessor, Joe Biden, who had limited interactions with the media, Trump has been more accessible, engaging with reporters for extended periods and granting interviews to discuss various issues. He has highlighted his administration's approach to handling emergencies and has criticized what he perceives as failed policies of the 'radical left.'
Reflecting on his return to the White House, Trump underscored the significance of serving two nonconsecutive terms and suggested that his administration's policies offer a stark contrast to those rejected by voters. He remains optimistic about the future and the potential for America to thrive under his leadership.
