A woman in her 20s has died in a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Co Meath in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services and Gardai attended the scene of the accident, which took place shortly before 1.30am, and pronounced the woman dead.
The stretch of road on the N51 in Rathmore, Athboy, Co Meath remains closed this morning to allow for a forensic investigation, with diversions in place for motorists.

An appeal has been issued for any witnesses, particularly those who might have dashcam footage, to make it available to investigating Gardai.
A Garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 1:20am on Saturday 8th April 2023 on the N51 in Rathmore, Athboy, County Meath.
"The sole occupant of the vehicle involved, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The road remains closed this morning and the services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested. Local diversions are in place.
"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N51 in the Rathmore area between 1am and 1:30am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Kells Garda Station on 046 9280820, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
