Young woman missing from Scots town for five days may have travelled to England

A young woman who disappeared from a town in South Lanarkshire five days ago has prompted a frantic police search.

Qudsia Tanveer vanished from the East Kilbride area around 5.45pm on Friday, September 23, and has not been seen or heard from since, sparking concern from officers.

The 21-year-old is described as 5'1" in height, with long black hair, brown eyes and of medium build.

She was wearing a dark blue/grey tracksuit with black shoes when she went missing. Qudsia was also carrying a blue/white backpack with a "Glasgow" logo on it and a leopard print suitcase.

Cops believe the woman boarded a bus bound for Manchester, but are now asking for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace her.

Anyone who may have seen Qudsia, has any idea of her whereabouts or any information which may be useful to the search bid, are being urged to get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 2898 of 25th September 2022.
