Tributes have been paid to a young Scots mum with a 'heart of gold' who tragically died after falling unwell on a Glasgow street.
Mum-of-two Ashley Carvill was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Wednesday, September 21 after being found unresponsive by passers-by on Arnprior Street, Castlemilk.
The 34-year-old, who has two young sons, fought for several days, however tragically passed away on Sunday, September 25.
Ashley's heartbroken sister said her heart has been shattered into a million pieces by her 'soulmate's' death.
Posting the sad news on Facebook earlier today, she said: "I just couldn’t face writing this out.
"On Sunday my heart shattered into a million pieces.
"My amazing big sister passed away, someone I never ever thought I’d have to be without. And it still hasn’t sunk in for me, this feels like a nightmare. I still can’t believe what has happened
"I’ve never known anyone like you Ashley. You did everything for everyone around you selflessly and you have the biggest heart of gold I’ve ever seen.
"Every room you entered you brought light and smiles to, everyone absolutely adores you for the person you are and the way you make people feel about themselves. You really are one in a zillion, there’s no one out there like you.
"I’ll never ever stop looking up to you as I always have since forever, that has never stopped for one moment, you’ve always been my idol and my hero, no matter what.
"You will always be my beautiful big sister, my rock and my soulmate. I can’t begin to tell you how much I am going to miss you, Ashley.
"I'm so so proud to have you as my big sister. I love you with my whole heart unconditionally, always and forever.
"Rest in Peace my angel, till we meet again."
Ashley's death has devastated the community.
Castlemilk Community News wrote: "RIP Castlemilk Legend Ashley Carvill.
"Such a sad loss.
"Thoughts with her friends, family and two young sons."
Pals and loved ones were quick to leave tributes of their own to popular Ashley.
Mary Cochrane said: "My deepest condolences to family absolutely heartbreaking and those two wee boys god love them."
Carolanne Callaghan added: "Absolutely heartbreaking. Such a beautiful girl. Thinking of your boys and the rest of the family."
Pamela Davidson wrote: "Heartbreaking. I have so many good memories of us as kids growing up on Glenacre. Rest In Peace beautiful girl. Sending so much love to her family and kids."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Wednesday, 21 September, police were called to the Arnprior Street area of Castlemilk, Glasgow, following a report of a woman taking unwell. She was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Officers have since been informed that the woman died on Sunday, 25 September. Next of kin have been made aware."
