There's growing concerns for the welfare of a young man who has been missing from a Scots town since Monday.
Lee Andrew Martin, 22, has vanished from his home in Ardrossan leaving his family "extremely worried". He was last seen at around 1pm on Monday, August 15 in the Thornhill area of Dumfries and Galloway.
Officers have launched a frantic appeal for information in a bid to trace Lee. He is described as white, 6ft tall, slim build with short brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue puffa jacket.
Chief Inspector Gillian Grant of Irvine police station said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Lee’s welfare and are asking for the public's assistance to help trace him.
“Lee’s family are extremely worried about him and just want to know that he is safe and well.
“Although he is from Ardrossan and was last seen in Thornhill, Lee is also known to frequent the wider North Ayrshire area.
“If you think you may have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact us as soon as possible.”
