After stumbling upon this on Monday morning, I seriously couldn’t believe it.
Let’s go back one year ago — literally, almost to the day. Six-year-old Cincinnati Reds fan Abigail had come to Great American Ballpark to watch her favorite player, Joey Votto.
But then he argued with the home plate umpire and was ejected. Abagail, justifiably, was crushed and sad. But Votto signed a ball for her that said, “I am sorry I didn’t play the entire game.”
That was a pretty good outcome despite what happened, I’d say!
A year later, Abigail attended Sunday’s Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels game … and a huge brawl led to former Red Jesse Winker (who she came to see) ejected.
Yeah, it happened AGAIN. But she got something from Winker to make up for it:
