A young Rangers star has paid tribute to his mother following her tragic death.
Alex Lowry posted touching family pictures on Instagram and Twitter this morning with the caption "rest in peace mum".
Well wishers have responded with an outpouring of support for the 19-year-old midfielder, who is a product of the club's youth system after joining as a 10-year-old schoolboy.

One posted: "So sorry for your loss. Stay strong. She'll be so proud of you."
A second added: "There will never be the right words when you suffer a loss so significant, but all your fans and the whole of your Rangers family. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time."
Fan messages of condolence have continued to be appear on Alex's post throughout the morning.
A kind support said: "Sending love to you and your family in this hard moment, I know this doesn’t help but your a great wee player keep working hard for the famous Glasgow Rangers I’m sure your mum was, and is, very proud of you Alex."
And another went on: "So sorry for your loss to you and your family at thus sad time, your mum will be very proud of you young man, your mum will always be with you watching over you."
Alex played in the junior and B teams before making his first-team debut for Rangers in January last year, when he came on as a first half substitute.
